GEMA Group is celebrating that its project AM-ACTS has been selected for funding in the M-ERA.NET Joint Call 2021. This European project, entitled ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF ACTIVELY COOLED THERMAL SHIELDS and involving 5 partners from 3 different European countries (Spain, France and Sweden), is coordinated by GEMA with Prof. Pedro Miranda as Principal Investigator. As indicated by its title it is oriented to the development of novel thermal shields for aerospace and energy appliations that can be actively refrigerated by circulating an appropriate coolant through a bioinspired network of internal microchannels. It is one of only 8 proposals selected in this call within the Additive Manufacturing topic, and GEMA is 1 out of 18 Spanish partners financed by AEI in this call.
