Composites with bioinspired microestructures to be developed in new MCIN-AEI project awarded to GEMA

Our project ENAMEL has been selected for funding in MCIN-AEI 2021 call for Oriented Research This National project, entitled Additive manufacturing of ceramic/polymer composites with bioinspired microestructures for dental applications, is lead by Prof. Pedro Miranda as Principal Investigator. The project is oriented to the development of novel bioinspired composites mimicking the complex microstructure of natural teeth’s enamel through the combined use of various additive manufacturing strategies and polymer impregnation. GEMA’s proposal received an outstanding evaluation of 97/100 mark and its full requested budget and the possibility of training one PhD (FPI) Student.
